Stella

👼 Stella was diagnosed with hip dysplasia when she was only 3 months old — but ideally it would have been detected earlier on.

She spent the following weeks in a Pavlik Harness while awaiting surgery. Two separate surgeries occurred, three Spica Casts, and another 8 months in a Rhino Brace.

A day after her second birthday, Stella took her first steps.

👨‍👩‍👧 Hip dysplasia is an ongoing process for Stella and her family. She will likely need more surgeries, and more time in a cast and brace to help prevent a lifetime characterized by pain and disability.
