With 24 centres contributing from 7 countries across 4 continents there is enormous potential to be able to tangibly change current screening practices and monitoring protocols in a short timeframe. The HIPpy Research team also hosts and contributes to several multi‐national data registries, including the SCFE Longitudinal International Prospective Registry (SLIP) and the International Perthes Study Group (IPSG).

FAMILY ASSISTANCE FUND

I’m A HIPpy’s Family Assistance Fund was created to support families across BC and Canada who encounter unexpected hardship bourne by having a child diagnosed with Hip Dysplasia, Perthes, and other hip disorders. There are many unexpected costs associated with a diagnosis, not covered by health care, such as medical equipment, cost of travel, time away from work, etc. Our goal is to help ease the burden of the disease, in whatever way possible.
