Minnie

💬 My daughter Minnie was born with developmental Hip Dysplasia. At her two-month check-up, her paediatrician noticed that her hip was very unstable and sent us to get an ultrasound.

The ultrasound confirmed that Minnie had Hip Dysplasia on both hips, but it was much worse on the right side.

🩺 We put her in a Pavlik harness for 6 weeks. The next ultrasound showed that the harness was not working, so we waited about 6 months for an X-ray.

This X-ray showed significant dysplasia in her right hip and mild in the left so we scheduled a closed reduction surgery.

After 4 weeks, her right hip had come back out of the socket, so she was put in a cast until she had an open reduction surgery on the right side.
