Mabel

👼 This little angel had her first surgery to correct her left hip — which was completely dislocated — on July 6, 2021.

Mabel was 17 months old at the time of her surgery, and had recieved a delayed diagnosis due to COVID-19. Her surgery went well and afterwards she was placed in a Spica cast.

We’re excited to share that her Spica cast has now been removed and her recovery is going smoothly!

She is currently in a brace for 4 weeks, and after the 4 weeks, she will only have to wear it for bedtime.

Early detection is critical for decreasing the burden of Hip Dysplasia and other childhood hip disorders. At I’m a HIPpy, we believe we can make this change in this lifetime.
